About Megan
Dr. Megan Mathur works with adults across the lifespan — from young adulthood through older adulthood — helping clients navigate relationship challenges, life transitions, and the impact of difficult or traumatic experiences. Much of her work centers on a deceptively simple question: who are you, and what do you actually want out of life? She has particular experience with anxiety, depression, trauma, and the management of suicidality and self-harm.
Megan's approach is integrative rather than one-size-fits-all. She draws on psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral techniques, adapting her approach to fit what each client needs, with a strong emphasis on building a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust and collaboration.
Megan earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Xavier University, with an emphasis in health care psychology across the lifespan. Her training spans university and community mental health settings, where she worked with adults of all ages. She completed her internship at the University of Rochester's University Counseling Center, training in trauma-informed care and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She has experience providing individual therapy, group therapy, and psychological assessment.
