About Us

Our Story

Viewpoint Psychological Services opened its doors in Fort Thomas, Kentucky in May of 2006 — just two therapists, a husband and wife, with a shared passion for clinical work and a desire to make a meaningful difference in their community.

Ted, a clinical social worker, and Jennifer, a licensed psychologist, were no strangers to the work of helping people. But building a practice while raising young children and navigating the world of insurance contracts, billing processes, and legal compliance? That was a different education entirely — one learned with hard work, late nights, and with plenty of trial and error along the way.

Then, that fall, something unexpected happened. A résumé arrived in the mail — yes, the actual mail — and we had a decision to make. Were we ready to become a group practice? We took the leap, hired that first therapist, and never looked back. She is still a clinician at Viewpoint today, nearly 20 years later, and her arrival set everything in motion.

From there, Viewpoint grew steadily and intentionally. As the need in our community became clear, we expanded — adding our Crestview Hills location, then our Florence office, and in 2020, doubling the size of Crestview Hills to better serve the growing demand in that area. Each step of our growth has been guided by one question: where are people who need quality care, and how do we reach them?

In 2026, we answered that question again by opening our newest location in Georgetown, Kentucky. Several of our clinicians had been making the daily commute from Georgetown to Florence, and they kept telling us the same thing — the need was there. We listened, and we're proud to now serve that community as well.

Twenty years in, Viewpoint remains exactly what it was designed to be: a locally owned and operated practice, run by clinicians, with our clients' best interests at the center of every decision we make. We are not a corporate entity or a franchise. We are your neighbors, and we are deeply invested in the well-being of this community.

We won't claim to be perfect — but we will always work to make things right. What we are most proud of is the extraordinary team of psychologists, therapists, and staff who have shaped this practice and its reputation over two decades. We are honored by the trust placed in us by local physicians, school counselors, and the many families who have referred their loved ones to our care. Those word-of-mouth referrals remain the highest compliment we can receive.

Our commitment, now as always, is to provide exceptional care for those we serve — and to make Viewpoint a place where talented, compassionate clinicians are proud to build their careers.

We are so glad you found us.

Our values

What we value

Competency

Good intentions aren't enough — skill matters too. At Viewpoint, we are committed to hiring exceptional clinicians and staff who bring real expertise to their work. We invest in ongoing training, stay current in our fields, and hold ourselves to a high clinical standard. You deserve care from people who genuinely know what they are doing.

Passion

We didn't get into this work by accident. Every member of the Viewpoint team is here because they genuinely love what they do — and that passion shows up in the care our clients receive. When your clinician is truly invested in your progress, it makes a difference. That's the kind of team we have built, and the kind of practice we are proud to be.

Conscientiousness

Details matter at Viewpoint. From the accuracy of our assessments to the care we put into every client interaction, we take our work seriously. Our clients deserve a practice that is thorough, thoughtful, and precise — and that is the standard we hold ourselves to every day.

Approachability

Mental health care should feel accessible — not intimidating. At Viewpoint, approachability isn't an afterthought. It's baked into everything we do, from the first phone call to the last session. We're real people who genuinely care, and we want you to feel that from the moment you reach out.

Ethical Integrity

Doing the right thing isn't negotiable at Viewpoint. We hold ourselves to the highest ethical standards — in our clinical work, our business practices, and every interaction in between. Our clients trust us with what matters most, and we honor that trust every single day.

Excellent Customer Service

Quality care extends beyond the therapy room. From scheduling your first appointment to navigating insurance questions, we are committed to making every part of your experience at Viewpoint as smooth and supportive as possible.
